Starting in CRC’s home city of Belfast, the Giro d’Italia will take place from 9th May – 1st June, and will see the world’s greatest riders not only take on the same roads that many of our team cycle on, but ride past our offices too! [we were at the launch - read about it here]
Created by Irish designer Fergus Niland on behalf of Santini SMS who will make them, the jerseys feature typically Irish graphics, such as a tweed pattern and a stylised shamrock symbol. Oxfam is the charity partner for this year’s event, a connection which is displayed on the left sleeve.
WHAT ARE THE JERSEYS AT THE GIRO D’ITALIA?
The Maglia Rosa is the jersey worn by the leader of the time general classification.
The Red Jersey is worn by the leader of the points general classification.
The Blue Jersey is the symbol of the King of the Mountain classification leader.
